Ticketing & Events Terms
Last updated November 4, 2026
These Ticketing & Events Terms ("Ticket Terms") apply when you buy a ticket, register for an event, or organize and sell tickets through Encore ("Encore", "we", "us"), operated by Synergy Music Group, LLC. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with those, these Ticket Terms control for tickets and events.
1. Who you are dealing with
- The Organizer is the artist, agency, church, promoter or other person who created the event and is selling the tickets. The Organizer is named on the event page and your ticket. Your purchase is a contract between you and the Organizer, not with Encore.
- Encore provides the ticketing software: the event page, checkout, tickets, door check-in and the Organizer's tools. Encore is not the promoter, venue or seller of the event and does not control whether it happens, how it is run, or who is admitted.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe through the Organizer's own Stripe account and go directly to the Organizer. Encore does not hold ticket funds.
2. Prices and fees
- The ticket price is set by the Organizer. On paid tickets, you also pay an Encore service fee and, where the Organizer has chosen to pass it on, a card processing fee. Every fee is itemized at checkout before you pay, and the total you see is the total you are charged.
- Free tickets and free registrations carry no fees of any kind.
- Prices are in US dollars. Any sales, amusement or admission taxes are the Organizer's responsibility unless shown as a separate line at checkout.
- Promo and presale codes are offered at the Organizer's discretion, may be limited in number or time, and can be withdrawn at any time before an order is completed.
3. Your ticket
- Each ticket has a unique code and QR. It is valid for one admission per ticket, scanned once. A copied, screenshot-shared or re-sold ticket that is scanned first gets in; later scans of the same code will be refused. Keep your ticket private.
- Tickets are emailed to the address you enter at checkout. Check your spam folder; if a ticket does not arrive, contact the Organizer with your order email and they can resend it.
- Tickets are a revocable license to attend. The Organizer and venue may refuse entry or remove anyone who is disruptive, unsafe, breaks venue rules or the law, without refund.
- Unless the Organizer states otherwise, tickets are general admission, non-transferable and may not be resold for more than face value or used for promotions, contests or commercial purposes without the Organizer's written consent.
- Door times, set times, lineups and seating may change. Admission may be subject to a bag check, ID check or age restriction set by the Organizer or venue.
4. Refunds, cancellations and changes
- The Organizer's refund policy is shown on the event page and at checkout. Unless it says otherwise, all sales are final.
- If an event is canceled by the Organizer, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price and all fees to the card you paid with. If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket is valid for the new date; the Organizer may, at their discretion, offer refunds to those who cannot attend.
- Refunds are issued by the Organizer through Encore. When the Organizer refunds an order, the full amount including the Encore service fee and any card processing fee goes back to your card, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
- Encore cannot issue a refund on an Organizer's behalf, because Encore does not hold the funds. Refund questions go to the Organizer first. If an Organizer does not respond within a reasonable time, email us at team@encoretheapp.com and we will try to help.
- No refunds are owed for a change of mind, inability to attend, weather, traffic, lineup changes, or set-time changes, unless the Organizer's policy says so or the law requires it.
- If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting the Organizer, the Organizer may cancel the related tickets.
5. Your information
- The name, email, phone and city you give at checkout are shared with the Organizer so they can deliver your tickets, run the door, and contact you about this event.
- By buying a ticket or registering you join the Organizer's fan list for that artist. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click, or reply STOP to any text, at any time.
- Encore uses your information to run the ticketing service as described in our Privacy Policy. Encore does not sell your information.
6. At the event
- By attending you consent to being photographed, filmed and recorded as part of the audience, and to the Organizer using those recordings for promotional purposes without compensation, to the extent the law allows.
- You attend at your own risk. The Organizer and venue are responsible for the safety, accessibility and running of the event. Encore is not.
- The venue's own rules apply (bags, cameras, re-entry, prohibited items). Check the event page or ask the Organizer before you arrive.
7. For Organizers
If you sell tickets or take registrations through Encore, you also agree that:
- You are the seller of record and responsible for the event: the accuracy of the listing, holding it as advertised, venue agreements, licenses, insurance, security, accessibility, age restrictions, taxes, and compliance with local ticketing and consumer laws.
- You will honor the refund policy you set, refund buyers in full if you cancel, and respond to buyer questions promptly. You can issue refunds from your Events page or seller link at any time.
- Buyer information is shared with you only to run your event and your artist's fan list. You will not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing, and you will honor unsubscribes and STOP requests.
- You will not list events you do not have the right to sell, resell another seller's tickets, or use Encore for raffles, lotteries, or anything illegal where the event takes place.
- Encore's service fee is paid by the buyer on top of your ticket price, so you receive the full ticket price in your Stripe account. Stripe's fees and terms apply to your connected account. If you refund an order, Encore returns its service fee to the buyer as well.
- Chargebacks, disputes and fraud losses on your tickets are yours; Encore may share order and check-in records with Stripe to help you contest them.
- Encore may suspend or remove a listing that appears fraudulent, infringing, unsafe or in breach of these terms, and may withhold its tools from Organizers who repeatedly fail to refund canceled events.
8. Encore's role and limits
- Encore provides the ticketing tools "as is". We work to keep them available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for an event being canceled, changed, oversold by the Organizer, or for anything that happens at it.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, Encore's total liability to you for anything connected to a ticket or event is limited to the Encore service fee you paid on that order.
- Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the state where you live that cannot be waived.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these Ticket Terms; the version in force when you buy applies to that order. Questions about a specific event or refund go to the Organizer shown on your ticket. Questions about Encore go to team@encoretheapp.com.
